The MSG Secretariat received a courtesy visit from the Official Nomination of National Youth Delegate to the 2026 Heads of Youth Ministries Meeting and the 2026 Pacific Ministers for Youth Meeting of New Caledonia, Mr. Daniel Hama whose delegation also included Vanuatu National Youth Council President. Mr. Norman Kalotiti and Vanuatu Youth representatives.

On behalf of the Program Manager for Culture, Arts Youth and Sports welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the MSG commitment for meaningful engagement with member countries. He highlighted the importance of building youth relationship across the sub-region for strengthening youth in Melanesia.

President Daniel welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Secretariat and shared the Front de libération nationale kanak et socialiste (FLNKS) challenges and issues.

The meeting provided an opportunity for FLNKS and MSG Secretariat to exchange views on the challenges and issues faced by the youth of FLNKS. In his closing remarks, Program Manager Bill on behalf of the Director General reaffirmed the Secretariat’s commitment to support member countries addressing challenges in Melanesia.

FLNKS has been a member of MSG since 1988.
