There is no barrier when it comes to Sports as it binds all people regardless of race, colour or creed therefore Sports Development is a crucial aspect of the work of the MSG Secretariat. The programme is currently being looked after by our very enthusiastic Ni-Van Bill Henry.
Previously part of the Sustainable Development Programme, the Sports Development Programme was re-aligned to a single programme which is now entirely responsible for the development and implementation of the Sports Programme within the MSG region.
Additionally, the programme is tasked to liaise with members through their National Sporting Federations to organise Sporting events and competitions and its four (4) key strategic priority areas are:
1. MSG Sports Business Plan;
2. MSG Sports Guiding Documents;
3. MSG Prime Ministers Cup; and
4. Melanesian Games
